Introduction
The 'Swanson Family Charity SCIO' is a not-for-profit organisation and a Scottish Registered Charity. (SC048324)
The charity is founded in loving memory of our parents, Ron & Mary Swanson, who served as missionaries in Chitambo, Zambia for a seven year period from 1960 - '67.
To honour our parents' legacy the primary objective of our charity is supporting the Chitambo community and hopefully making a meaningful and sustainable difference to their lives.

At the cornerstone of our charity is love, unconditional love - 'And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is LOVE' (1 Corinthians 13:13)
Our mission and vision is to make a meaningful and sustainable difference to the lives of Chitambo's children; practically and financially supporting projects which improve, enhance and advance education, health, food nutrition and relieve poverty within the Chitambo community.
Goals & Objectives
'Connecting Chltambo's Children' with initiatives and projects which improve, enhance and advance education, health, food nutrition and relieve poverty are the foundations of our charity; underpinned by the nurturing and development of meaningful relationships, partnerships and collaboration with likeminded charities, organisations, governments and supporters who understand and recognise the wide and varied needs of the Chitambo community and are already working and practically supporting, including - Agape Village Foundation, Friends of Chitambo, David Livingstone Hospital, United Church of Zambia, Church of Scotland, Zambian and Scottish Governments.
